For whatever reason - and there are many - things may fall apart one day, do you know how to hold it together, for a protracted period of time?  Take, for instance, WATER.  Fresh water supply is not a simple problem.  And fresh water is increasingly threatened these days, as lakes dry or become toxic with global warming, (see [livejournal.com profile] w_a_r_m_i_n_g); as larger storms cause toxic flooding; as infrastructure fails, as it did in Flint; as blue algae and other pathogens choke off municipal reserves, as happened in Toledo; and as the threat of solar or weapon EMPs, or hacks, may one day take down electrical grids.

So, here are a few things you might want to know - about keeping water on store, about fermenting liquids, and other tips about surviving a chronic disaster, over the long-haul. Better safe than thirsty. Of course, you can find lots more info by searching the sites.
